Terbaru! angin sepoi-sepoi bertiup, Arsenal dikaitkan sedang cuba melamar anak muda Palermo yang kini sedang dipinjamkan ke Parma, Afriyie Acquah. Pemain berusia 20 tahun ini dicanang-canang konon bak bintang Chelsea yang dipinjamkan ke Real Madrid, Michael Essien.
Afriyie Acquah kini sebagai pemain pinjaman di Parma hingga akhir musim 2012/13 dengan option boleh beli jika berminat. Namun Parma dikhabarkan tidak memperlihatkan minat untuk melanjutkan khidmatnya samada secara pinjaman mahupun tetap.
Di tirai transfer Januari ini, seperti dilaporkan Daily Express, Arsenal dikatakan sangat menaruh perhatian kepada pemain muda asal Ghana ini. The Gunners bahkan bersedia mengeluarkan duit poket sekitar 9 juta euro untuk membawa Acquah ke Emirates Stadium.
Untuk rekod, kontrak Acquah di Palermo hanya akan berakhir pada Jun 2016. Musim ini sahaja di Serie A, Acquah telah bermain di 10 kemunculan dan 4 kali masuk starting XI Parma.
